Seven emerging and established Lakota poet artists from five U.S. states created an original poem for one of the seven sections of this exhibit. They are citizens of three of the five Lakota nations that govern reservation lands in South and North Dakota. These lands are within the boundary of the 1868 Fort Laramie Treaty.
