“The Sun is Your God” is the title of the artwork Richard Red Owl created for the upcoming CAIRNS educational art exhibit, The Gift. The artwork is for Wiwanyang Wacipi, one of the seven “gifts” that Black Elk said the White Buffalo Woman foretold would be associated with the sacred pipe. In the photo above, Richard is holding his artwork, which extends beyond the bottom of the photo.
